Muthwani Member of County Assembly (MCA) George King'ori has fired warning shots at former Kibwezi Member of Parliament Kalembe Ndile for claiming there's division in the Jubilee party.
Speaking in Mwala sub-county on Saturday, King'ori said that Jubilee is an independent party.
The MCA said it is wrong for Kalembe to claim that the Tip Tip party which folded and merged into Jubilee doesn't support Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 political bid.
King'ori said Kalembe is not the Jubilee Party's spokesperson and should desist from issuing information on behalf of the party.
"Jubilee party is solid contrary to reports from some confused politicians like Kalembe. He is claiming there's division in the party yet he is not the spokesperson. He should be ignored because even the electorates from Mavoko rejected him in 2017," said King'ori.
He observed that all leaders should adhere to the handshake and support the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto instead of creating a non-existent rift between them.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto's leadership should not be undermined. Let's all support them as they take the country forward," he said.
He noted that leaders should focus on taking the country to another dimension of development instead of politicking.
Last week, Kalembe stated that Ruto should resign if he doesn't support the fight against corruption, adding that Tip Tip party will not support Ruto's presidential bid in 2022.
