Speaking on NTV's AMLive on Tuesday, Amollo noted that voters need a person who means good for the country and will not settle for anything less in the 2022 general polls.

He added that the country needs cohesion and a successful fight against impunity, stating that whoever is elected as the fifth President will have to beat the threshold.

"The next leader must be the one who aspires what we as Kenyans want and has the ability to lead the nation in promoting cohesion and fighting impunity," he said.

The lawyer stated that Kenyans have been illuminated and can no longer allow themselves to be tricked into voting unqualified candidates.

He added that similarly, they can no longer be fooled with money, heavy campaigns and the unfolding political debt mode of politicking.

"Its no longer about who has dished out the most money, traversed the nation the most or the one owed the biggest political debt," said the parliamentarian.

This comes at a time when the race is already heating up, with Deputy President William Ruto and Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua topping the list of the expected participants.
