Opposition leader Raila Odinga is the latest high profile individual to react after the brutal murder of Sharon Otieno.
The body of Otieno was discovered on Wednesday morning in Homa Bay County.
Through his Twitter account, Raila condemned the murder.
"At a campaign briefing this evening for the upcoming Migori Senatorial by-election, I condemned very strongly the brutal murder of the late Sharon Otieno. We observed a minute of silence in her honour," tweeted Raila.
Odinga was a student at the Rongo University college and she is believed to be seven months pregnant.
Before meeting her death, Otieno was abducted by unknown men alongside Nation journalist Barrack Oduor.
Migori Governor Okoth Obado's aide has been linked to the murder with many calling for justice in the case.
