National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale met two women; Saadia Ogle and Rahma Guliye on Tuesday at his office in Parliament buildings
In a Facebook post, the outspoken legislator revealed that the women were running a noble mission of raising funds for a baby called Nasra who is battling a serious heart condition.
He called on Kenyans of goodwill to make donations to help the women raise 2.5 million shillings required for baby Nasra's corrective surgery.
In his post, Duale did not reveal the amount, if any, that he gave the two women as his contribution.
Also not clear is the amount that has already been raised for baby Nasra's corrective procedure.
In Ramadhan which Duale alluded to, Muslims are called upon to engage in acts of compassion and kindness.
"Saadia Ogle and Rahma Guliye are inspirational and philanthropic women who do a lot of work towards community service and help the disadvantaged in the society. I had chance to meet them at Parliament Buildings, Nairobi.
"They are currently raising funds for Baby Nasra with a serious heart condition. She needs to be taken to India for specialized treatment. Saadia Ogle and Rahma Guliye and their friends have already raised a substantial amount of money towards supporting Baby Nasra.
"The targeted amount is 2.5 Million. I call upon all people of goodwill to join and support this noble course especially during this month of Ramadan. Allah will reward you abundantly," Duale posted.
