Ukambani Governors on Friday took Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report civic education to Makueni.
Governor Kivutha Kibwana confirmed the tour in the region.
The second term governor was joined by his Kitui counterpart Charity Ngilu during the tour.
He revealed that Mutua Alfred of Machakos was out of the country.
The meeting comes a time when the political temperatures are rising over who should spearhead the campaigns in the region.
Wiper leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is considered one of the leaders to push for the report.
“Ukambani governors take BBI Civic Education to Makueni. Colleague Governor's Alfred Mutua and Charity Ngilu have joined me today on the Building Bridges Initiative civic education and consultative forum to Makueni, Wote town. Governor Mutua who's out of the country addressed the 5,000 delegates via telephone but was represented by his deputy Francis Maliti,” he posted.
Kibwana said that the forum was attended by leaders from different parts of the region including clergymen, civil society and opinion leaders among others.
Kibwana added: “The forum brings together local leaders, opinion leaders, clergy, civil society and other community development stakeholders. BBI Committee of Experts representatives Joseph Simekha and Kantai Ole Kina are gracing the occasion for a simplified and technical analysis of the proposals to the delegates.”
