Former Tetu MP Ndungu Gethenji has been accused of physically assaulting a resident of Kihingo village Kitisuru estate as sort of his ongoing tissues with area residents.

They say that they have lodged a number of cases in the nearby Gigiri Police Station regarding the contested ownership of their posh houses sold to them by the MP.

They say that the MP recently assaulted one of their neighbours named Kishore Dhanji Vharsani, in the estate which also accommodates Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru.

On the basis of the row is the contested ownership of the company managing their estate and now want the Director of Public Prosecutions Noodin Haji to intervene.

"Our clients are living in perpetual fear, face abuse and harassment and fear for their personal safety. They have invested heavily to live in their dream homes only to be constantly harassed by persons acting in contempt of court,” reads the letter written by their lawyer Allen Gichuhi.

They say that they bought the houses under Kihingo Village Waridi Gardens Limited, before the emergence of Kihingo Village Mamagement One Limited.

Gethenji's company was the owner of 53 of the 55 houses in the village, while Waiguru's house is among the unaffected 2.

Gehenji was arraigned in court some two weeks ago over the tussle.
