A boda boda rider from Jogoo estate in Kisii County committed suicide on Tuesday evening after he allegedly quarrelled with his wife.
Confirming the incident, area assistant chief Justus Nyabuto said the deceased identified as Edward has been having marital problems with his wife.
"Edward has been accusing his wife of having men outside the wedlock. He returned home in the evening from work when neighbours told him that his wife spent the whole day with an unidentified man in the house. He was angered and threw himself into a water borehole," said the chief.
Mr. Nyabuto said residents managed to retrieve his body before alerting police officers.
He warned women against engaging in extra-marital affairs with other men outside the wedlock.
"Men are committing suicide due to women's unfaithfulness in marriage. I am appealing to women to stop accepting other men yet they are in marriage," he added.
Nyabuto said the deceased body was taken by police officers to RAM hospital morgue waiting for burial.
The administrator urged men to stop terminating their lives prematurely whenever they are faced with life challenges.
