Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Communications Director Philip Etale has been the latest notable political figure to attack a section of Jubilee Party politicians opposed to constitutional amendments.
Led by Deputy President William Ruto, the politicians have branded the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) an avenue to delivering a referendum to some politicians.
Consequently, the group which has been dubbed 'Tanga Tanga' has been firing shots at the BBI and the BBI taskforce, ahead of the submission of its report to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a tweet on Friday, Etale, a close ally of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) boss Raila Odinga, lashed out at the group for jumping into conclusions about the report content.
He found it shameful that the politicians are fighting something they have not seen, terming them deluded and tiny-brained.
"You want to know #BirdbrainedTangatanga, then listen to them fighting something they have not seen. You know these guys are so deluded that they are jumping up and down talking about the BBI report that has not been released. Shame on them," he said.
The DP and team, some from Mt Kenya region, have been opposing the BBI despite the fact that it was partially formed by President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is also the Mt Kenya kingpin.
They have branded it a plot to bring about changes, which will create more executive seats at the helm of the government, allegedly to house election losers, Raila included.
After their handshake early last year, Raila and Uhuru deployed the 14-member BBI taskforce to collect views from Kenyans on the solutions to the nation's recurrent issues.
Tanga Tanga has said that Raila's inclusion makes it hard to trust the BBI, cautioning that he could be using the situation to benefit himself, with some vowing to fight the BBI report.
