In a tweet on Tuesday, Ruto said that Uhuru remains the commander in chief of the armed forces and head of the Jubilee Party.

He was responding to a headline on Standard Newspaper alleging that he is not in good terms with the Uhuru, who is completing his second and final term in office in 2022.

"JUBILEE is under one leader Uhuru Kenyatta. The 'wars' are a figment of the fertile evil imaginations of the now notoriously desperate standard media's warped & venomous logic," he said.

Speaking during the Commissionining of a Maternity Wing, Radiology Unit and Trauma Centre at Nandi Hills Hospital, Nandi County, Ruto asked leaders to engage in constructive politics.

He said that the leaders spreading propaganda are in for a rude shock. He reiterated that the Jubilee government has shown its committment to change the lives of Kenyans before Uhuru paves way for him to suceed his presidency.

"Let us engage in sober, inclusive and objective citizen engagement on all proposals to not only accommodate the views of all Kenyans but also ensure a win-win situation in the ongoing constitutional debate," he said.
