As the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates wait for their results, parents should be scanning through universities to know which courses are offered.
Those joining universities should be guided accordingly on courses that are marketable in today’s job market.
1. Medicine
A degree in Medicine is one of the best things you can have in your life. It remains the most marketable course in Kenya. Any parent who has the resources and knows his/her child is a brainpower enough to pursue a good course, take that child to a medical school.
In Kenya, we still have a shortage of doctors. Enroll in this course and you will never tarmac.
2. Pharmacy
Another good course is pharmacy or nursing. These courses are related to the above but a bit ‘soft’ when it comes to class work.
The duration you also take to study these courses is shorter. The good thing is that with a degree in pharmacy you can easily employ yourself.
You will just need some capital and set up a pharmacy at your neighbourhood for folks to buy over the counter drugs.
3. Real Estate
Kenya’s population is growing and investors are putting up houses to accommodate the rising number.
This new filed needs professionals to take it off. So if you want some good paying course, don’t hesitate to take a real estate course.
