At Kogelo on Monday, Malik along with his family reportedly snubbed a family meeting chaired by Mr. Obama, even though media reports indicate that a woman believed to be his wife was kicked out.

But in the book, although the ex-US President does not indicate the date, he traveled miles eastwards from Chicago to Washington DC to meet Malik, only to be disappointed.

"As I searched the emptying gate at the National, Roy (Malik by then) was nowhere to be found. I called his house  and he said he had slight argument with his wife.

"We agree to meet later that night and I booked the cheapest hotel. However, I waited and yet I couldn't see him anywhere," narrates Obama.

So vicious have been there differences that even Malik vehemently opposed Obama's reelection in 2012 and subsequently backing Donald Trump in 2016 despite President Obama supporting Hillary Clinton.

Malik, whose beef with Obama Jr is not yet known, is the eldest of Barack Obama Sr children and is blood brother to Dr. Auma Obama.
