Renowned comedian and MC Felix Odiwuor popularly known as Jalang'o has sent a message to Dubai ruler, and United Arab Emirates Prime Minister Mohamed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum as the fake gold drama continues apace.
Jalang'o called on the ruler to deal with those at the top and not to involve Kenyans in the scandal that has griped the public.
Al-Maktoum is one of the scores of people who have allegedly been duped by the fake gold syndicate whose activities have come under sharp scrutiny.
"Let me talk with Al-Maktoum. There are claims that Kenyans who are in Dubai could suffer the consequences. Al-Maktoum, we were not there when the deal was being struck. Deal with those who are at the top and who were involved.
"There are Kenyans in Dubai and Kenya who don't know what gold looks like as they have never seen it. Please don't involve us in something we hardly know about, " Jalang'o said during a live program on Monday.
The fake gold scandal has sparked fears that the diplomatic relations between Kenya and the United Arab Emirates could be affected negatively.
Al-Maktoum wrote a protest letter to the Kenyan government, demanding his gold to be released with immediate effect.
"Nevertheless, now we need your immediate and strong action to release the totality of Zlivia gold shipment to UAE as soon as possible and according to the instructions by our general manager Mr Zhandi who is there in Kenya to organise the shipment," the protest letter read in part.
