Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria on Tuesday mounted a scathing attack on former U.S president Barrack Obama.
Writing on his Facebook page, Kuria bemoaned the body searches that Nyanza governors were subjected to and contended that Obama did absolutely nothing for the people of Kogello in his two-day visit in Kenya.
His Facebook broadside did not stop with Obama, he also lashed out at Auma Obama over what he called a condescending indictment of Luo Nyanza leaders.
"He did practically NOTHING for Kogelo, Kenya or Africa. Nothing! Zero! Today as a Eunuch former President he visits Kenya, we close all the roads for him. He then proceeds to Kogelo, body-searches host Governor Cornel Rasanga and reduces my good friend and Lupita Nyongo's daddy into a spectator. The skinny kid with a funny name then delivers a 7-minute hollow speech with a curtain raiser from his sister Auma who sets the stage by giving a scathing and condescending indictment of Luo Nyanza leaders," Kuria posted.
Kenyans have been quick to react to the controversial post.
Northern Kenya residents also weighed in on Kuria's Facebook post:
"Kuria should tell us what he has done for the people of Gatundu South instead of lashing out at President Obama. He has done absolutely nothing other than spreading hate," Abdikanim Mohamed says.
"I agree one hundred per cent with Moses Kuria. I did not see anything significant that Obama did for the people of Kogello, let alone Kenyans," Yunus Bukura says.
"That post is disgusting coming from a Kenyan legislator. The culture that Kuria is advocating is one that Auma railed against. Shameful!" Abawarat Guyo says.
"That was very low. He should leave Auma alone. Auma is a strong woman who is an inspiration to many young girls," Tato Bashir says.
