Florence Nduku, the woman who slashed her husband, Harun Mutua with a panga on the head and neck has been arrested.
The police arrested Florence in Kavilila Village in Waseges where she had gone into hiding on Wednesday morning.
She was taken to Subukia Police Station where she is currently being held.
Confirming her arrest, Subukia Sub-County police commander, Edward Imbwaga, said that she is in police custody and will be taken for a mental assessment.
Mr Imbwaga noted that after the mental assessment, she will then be ready to be charged with the murder of her husband.
K24 Digital was told that Florence Nduku will be charged on Thursday.
Florence is said to have slashed her husband on Tuesday evening in a forest at Kavilila Village where he was burning charcoal.
Witnesses pointed out that they heard a man's cries. When they rushed to the scene, they found Florence standing near her husband who had fallen down crying in pain.
Florence then confessed to slashing her husband using a panga arguing that he was weak in bed but still slept with other women.
The witness told area chief Patrick Njung’e that the lady took off after committing the inhumane act.
Mutua's body was taken to Nakuru hospital morgue.
