The party unleashed the newly-elected Ganda Ward Member of County Assembly Reuben Katana Mwamure on the Kibra parliamentary race.

Minority leader John Mbadi, who introduced the former Kenyatta University student leader, described Reuben Katana Mwamure as Aisha Jumwa's worst nightmare.

When he took the stage amid cheers, the Ganda Ward MCA urged the people of Kibra constituency to vote for Imran Okoth in the 7, November by-election.

"The people of Kibra,I want to request you to vote for Imran Okoth on 7th (Wananchi wa Kibra, mimi nawaomba hivi: Nawaomba kwa heshima naunyenyekevu tarehe 7 kura ya Kibra mpee Imran Okoth), " the Ganda Ward MCA said.(1:03:07-1:03:21)

In the Ganda Ward battle, Reuben Katana proved himself to be a skilled orator who captivated the imagination of locals and went on to capture the MCA seat convincingly beating a candidate who was enjoying the support of Malindi member of parliament Aisha Jumwa.

Given his oratorical prowess, the Raila Odinga-led party was keen to harness the star power of the young leader to rally Kibra residents to support Imran Okoth's parliamentary bid.

The Kibra seat fell vacant after the death of the late former member of parliament Ken Okoth lost his battle with cancer.
