A furious ODM leader Raila Odinga now wants National Assembly leadership to publish names of all MPs attending a conference in Tennessee, United States.
Reports by one media house indicates that at least 85 parliamentary staff is in the US for the conference, with Kenya having the highest delegation.
Nigeria is second with 20 legislators with other nations that are represented having less than 10 MPs and staff attending the function which has caused outrage.
In a statement on Wednesday, Mr Odinga asked those involved to have their names published for public scrutiny, adding that the move is a waste of taxpayers money.
"Parliament has to publish the names of each of the members, the aides of those members attending the conference, how much they were paid in allowances and tickets and why it was necessary for them to attend the conference in the first place," he said.
"The National Assembly must also explain to Kenyans how the names of those members got to Tennessee as those attending the conference."
A week ago, Parliamentary Service Commission members had travelled to the US in preparation for the event, which could turn out to be the most scandalous in the history of Kenyan parliament.
Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka and National Assembly boss Justin Muturi are all in the US, and the two will be forced to give explanation to the trip and circumstances behind it.
