Nairobi governor Mike Sonko says he is ready to sack all county employees engaging in corruption.
The controversial governor said he is not ready to be blamed by the electorates in 2022.
"I have no problem even if I remain with one county employee. I will sack all county workers engaging in corruption since I don't want to take the blame in 2022," he said.
Sonko said he is committed to leaving a positive legacy especially in fighting impunity and cartels.
He called on county MCAs to commit themselves in serving the people of Nairobi who elected them during the last year's polls.
The governor reiterated that he is not ready to change his style of leadership.
"I will continue serving the people of Nairobi using my style. Those who will not be impressed by my leadership ways should relocate from the county. All I am doing will benefit the people of Nairobi who are my employers," he noted.
Sonko said that he does not have a grudge with any leader in the county.
"I am ready to work with all elected leaders in the county to boost service delivery to the people of Nairobi," said Sonko.
He was speaking on Saturday during the Mashujaa Day celebrations at Pumwani Grounds in Kamukunji.
