Following the march 9th global handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and his political nemesis Raila Odinga, it is not clear what the handshake entailed in detail as none of the two parties are willing to let the cat out of the basket.
During a live Interview with journalists at State House, Mombasa, President Uhuru kenyatta was quoted saying, "we must have a governance system that looks beyond us and onto our grandchildren."
He authoritatively indicated that the governance structure is what Raila Odinga and himself were engaged in as opposed to 2022 politics.
"We are focusing on fixing Kenya for future generations," held Uhuru.
President Uhuru stated, during the interview, that their truce was far beyond him and Raila. Despite this, Kenyans now see political allies to the two top most politicians receiving state appointments.
Among them are politicians rejected at the ballot but now enjoying the fruits of the handshake, all packaged as state jobs.
