Police officers are conducting investigations of a possible murder case after a middle-aged woman's body was found dumped in 'Jua Kali' suburbs.
The dead body was discovered after traders who work closer to the dead woman's shop complained of a fouls smell emanating from the salon where the deceased works. So when they went in to check they were indeed greeted by the stench and a lifeless body lying in a pool of blood.
Nyamira Township assistant Chief Johnson Manyara confirmed the incident and asked the residents to remain calm as the police investigate circumstances that might have led to her death.
“We have started investigations about the course of the death since she was found dead in her salon, and I urge all our residents to stay calm as we conduct investigations, ” Manyara said.
The body of the victim has been taken to the Nyamira County referral hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
