Don Bosco, in a post on Facebook, Saturday said; "Congratulations Cabinet Secretary George Magoha for revoking Stephen Kiama's appointment as University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor and dissolving the University of Nairobi board. This board without merit bypassed Prof. Mbeche who was the most suitable and installed Prof Steve Kiama."
According to the business tycoon cum politician, the university council could have been bribed to appoint Kiama as the vice-chancellor.
"Thanks for realizing that there was foul play that could have involved pockets being lined up," Gichana's post read further.
CS Magoha after revoking Kiama's appointment named Prof Isaac Mbeche as the acting Vice Chancellor until a substantive one is appointed.
Mbeche, who hails from Bonchari constituency in Kisii County, was acting in the same position before Kiama was appointed.
Isaac Motari, a Jubilee Party allied politician also congratulated Magoha for acting faster to revoke Kiama's appointment.
"Magoha is sharp and he could not wait for Kiama to be installed as the institution's vice-chancellor. Impunity must come to an end in this country," said Motari at Riamagige SDA church on Saturday.
