Police Lurambi are pursuing a gang that broke into a church and stole a Holy book.

The thieves broke into Emakuche Church of God in the area on Monday night and made away with the book and a public address system.

Pastor Lucia Omusula, said she was shocked to find the robbers stole the Holy book.

The church is located some 200 metres from a police post.

Robbers have been targeting churches in recent break-ins.

On July 3, 2018, three armed robbers raided a church office in Nyeri Town and made away with over Sh1 million church collection.

The bad boys were reportedly armed with guns and raided the office of  African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA) at around 3pm where they stole the money.
