Speaking in Nyando on Friday, the Senator noted that there was no rivalry between him and the governor.

He further noted that he had set aside his differences with Governor Nyong'o, adding that he was ready to work with the latter's administration to deliver services to the residents of the lakeside county.

"This is the time for development. My work is to bring money and the work of the governor and his deputy is to implement the things we promised our people. That is what we want to see in the next three years.

"The people of Kisumu want development. This is why we should give Nyong’o time to work. I will ensure all the money I bring is used,” he said as quoted by Standard.

According to Outa, Nyongo's operatives were peddling rumors to smear Nyong'o's record ahead of 2022.

Reports of bad blood between thetwo surfaced after Nyong'o kicked out his Chief of Staff over claims that he had threated him.

The former Chief of Staff is a close confidant of Outa.
