Here's why you should avoid eating too many bananas.

1. If you want to lose weight you should refrain from eating too many bananas

Bananas contains more calories than any other fruit. If you are on a diet eating many bananas might not be such a good idea. When trying to lose weight, it is not advisable to consume more than two bananas in a day.

2. Allergies

Bananas are protein-rich foods meaning they contain Tyramine. If you are allergic to this compound make sure every stringy fibre is removed when you eat a banana. 

3. Too much potassium

Eating too many bananas may lead to high potassium levels in the body causing a condition called hyperkalemia. This causes irregular heartbeats, weakness of the muscles and temporary paralysis. 

4. Not a good snack for breakfast

Bananas contain a compound called Tryptophan which slows down the mental process and reaction time. If you have been feeling sleepy after having your banana then you have gotten your answer. It is advisable to eat your banana in the evening before going to bed.
