An elected Jubilee MP in Kisii County has vowed to empower widows and widowers in his constituency.
Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i while speaking at Nyaura area where he met with widows organization said he will not ignore women and men who have lost their husband and wives respectively.
"I am focused in empowering widows, widowers, our youths to support their income-generating business activities. No cartel will interfere with my leadership throughout my tenure," he said.
The legislator reiterated that political leaders should shun divisive politics and concentrate on helping the electorates to boost their lives.
He said women and men who have lost their loved ones should not give up in life.
"Widows, widowers and orphans must not give up in life since God cares for them. As an MP I am going to do everything possible to ensure more government loans are issued to my constituents to start small businesses to boost their earning," he added.
The MP warned opponents against spreading propaganda about his leadership style saying divisive politics won't help his rivals to win the seat in 2022.
