Former Kisii County women representative Mary Otara has said Migori Governor Zachary Obado must rot in jail because he aided in the brutal killing of Sharon Otieno.
Mrs Otara said Obado must know all Kenyans are protected by law.
"Sharon died a painful death. The Judiciary must not be compromised. Justice must be served by jailing Obado and let him rot in jail to serve as an example," she said.
"I am happy that the DPP Noordin Haji is working around the clock to end impunity in this country," she added.
She called on the Judiciary under the leadership of Chief Justice David Maraga not to be lenient on murderers like Obado when arraigned in court.
She said Sharon's family will only get justice once Obado will is jailed for life.
