Citizen TV presenter Jeff Koinange will tonight host former FIFA World player of the year, in the making of George Oppong Weah on today episode of JKL live popularly known as the bench.
Weah is currently serving his first term as the 25th president of Liberia after assuming office last year.
According to the Show’s Promo, the interview will take place in Liberia’s capital Monrovia in what has been dubbed as JKL on the road.
The show is scheduled to start shortly after 9:00pm tonight.
The footballer-turned-politician is one of the most decorated soccer players Africa has ever seen. He is the only African who has won the coveted FIFA World Player of the Year and the FIFA Ballon d’Or awards, a feat he achieved in 1995.
The former striker played for the Liberian national team and a host of clubs during his heydays, among them Monaco, Marseille and PSG in France, AC Milan in Italy, and Chelsea and Manchester City in England.
He is a former FA Cup, Seria A and French Ligue 1 winner. George Weah hanged his boots in 2003 after playing over 450 games for country and clubs. He scored over 200 goals during his 18-year football player.
He initially served as Senator before being elected President.
