Ulcers are the sore openings in the stomach lining. They can be caused by eating acidic foods and continuous use of painkillers like aspirin. When one is suffering from this, he/she is advised to eat the following foods to reduce them.
Spinach
This vegetable is so important to the general health of human. It helps in digestion hence making the digestive system in order.
Apples
Apples contain flavonoids which are important in inhibiting the ulcers. Consume many apples as you can to get rid of them.
Carrots
Carrots contain beta-carotene which helps in making the stomach lining stronger. You can decide to eat the carrot raw or better still blend the carrot to obtain juice and drink.
Broccoli
Broccoli contains sulforaphane which is responsible for destroying the bacteria that form stomach ulcers. Remember to include broccoli in your diet to do away with ulcers.
Garlic
Despite the irritating smell from garlic, it has the healing properties towards ulcers. Include at least two or three cloves of garlic in any of your meals or eat it raw.
Cabbage
Cabbage contains the component called S-methyl methionine which is responsible for healing the ulcers.
Berries
Berries like strawberries, blackberries and blueberries have antioxidants that are responsible for protecting the body against ulcers.
Radish
The fibre in radish helps in digestion hence making the stomach lining become strong and stable.
