Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama on Wednesday met with county doctors union officials to solve a three-months long health crisis.
During the meeting, Nyagarama pleaded with the officials to ensure doctors dedicate their time in serving the residents seeking medical services across the county.
"It is my wish that you will urge doctors to serve our people at public health centers well. Harassment of patients should not be condoned at the county health centers," he said.
Nyagarama assured that his administration is working around the clock to ensure no health workers' strike is witnessed in future.
He regretted that the previous medics strike hindered health provision of health services at public health centers in the county.
"I don't want to hear anyone dying because medics are on strike. My government will pay medics in time and in case there is a problem, my office is open for dialogue," he noted.
The county boss stated he will not allow theft of public drugs which residents should be given for free when they visit public health centers.
