President Uhuru Kenyatta's tour of Kisumu on Thursday will see him tour several parts on the county.
The Head of State is expected to be received by African Union Infrastructure Development Envoy and opposition chief Raila Odinga at the Kisumu International Airport.
According to an itinerary released by State House late Wednesday, the two and a host of leaders accompanying them will then proceed to Nyando Constituency.
Here, President Kenyatta will preside over the groundbreaking of the Ahero interchange.
The leaders and their entourage will then hold brief roadside public addresses at Ahero and Nyamasaria.
Reports indicate that the Head of State will then proceed to commission the Kisumu - Kakamega Road at Mamboleo, shortly after the official opening of the Ken Obura School.
After this, he is expected to finally embark on the launch the Universal Healthcare Coverage (UHC) at the Mamboleo Showground.
The president and his team will finally attend the UHC luncheon at the Nyanza Golf Club.
According to earlier reports, President Kenyatta will spend the night in Kisumu before proceeding to the neighboring Siaya County where he will accompany the former Prime Minister who will be receiving his honorary degree from the Jaramogi Oginga University.
He is also expected to launch water projects in the county and visit the founding Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga symposium in Sakwa Bondo.
This is the president's first official visit in Kisumu after the March 9 handshake that saw him and Odinga bury the hatchet after their bitter face off in the 2017 presidential contest.
