KCPE results: Nairobi schools observe tension as CS releases exams

With the trend of examination panic that has always affected parents, pupils and entire schools ahead or releasing of national exams, Nairobi schools were not left behind.

This is currently the case for Nairobi-based top performing schools including Makini group of schools that has always stayed among the top brass. 

In these schools is the wish to come top of the exam with higher mean grades where every institution wants the boasting rights for achieving academic excellence. 

Education CS Amina Mohamed released the results at The Star of the Sea Primary School in Mombasa county Monday morning. 

Amina however promised that there was a 100% transition rate of students from primary to secondary school, noting that every pupil who sat the exam will secure a place in secondary school. 

While releasing the results in Mombasa county, the CS warned that the ministry had noted the alarming rates of teenage pregnancies.

Three girls gave birth during the KCPE period, something Amina says prompted the ministry to begin investigations into the matter.
