The incident happened at Nyamboga village in Nyatieko, Kisii County.

Area chief Lawrence Omari said the deceased Bony Nyabuto abandoned his legally married wife to live at a rental house with his 'mpango wa kando' woman identified as Winnie Moraa.

"The deceased has been living with Moraa for the last three months after he abandoned his wife and four kids at home not knowing his 'mpango wa kando' will teach him a lesson," he said.

Omari said efforts by elders and members of the clergy to persuade Nyabuto return back to his home and live with his legally married wife went in vain.

"He couldn't listen to me, elders or members of the clergy. On Tuesday Moraa escaped from the house with Sh49,000 he had kept in the house living him with nothing. Angered Nyabuto opted to suicide due to the frustration," he said.

The chief said the deceased body was found dangling from the roof of the house they have been living.

He confirmed that the deceased body was moved to Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital morgue.
