Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti has expressed full confidence that the ongoing probe to reveal the actual killers and associates in the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno will soon be complete.
According to Kinoti, the case is easy as it apparently involves many people.
Now revealing that the murder plan was not to stop at Sharon but to eliminate her killers too in a cover-up plan, Kideath.said that the large number of included individuals will facilitate the the needed information leakage.
‘’There is no mystery in a murder involving many people. A murder case that is complex to crack is often the one that involves only one individual,’’ he was quoted by the Standard on Friday.
This comes at a time when 6 suspects have since been nabbed, grilled and arraigned over the same, among them Migori Governor Okoth Obado who has since admitted having been lovers with the deceased.
Others are his aides Caspal Obiero and Michael Oyamo, former Kanyadoto Member of County Assembly (MCA) Lawrence Mula, Obado’s bodyguard Elvis Omondi and the driver of the car believed to have been used to abduct Sharon before her death Jackson Gombe.
Sharon was abducted outside Graca Hotel in Rongo, Migori County on the night of September 3, before her lifeless body was found in a thicket near Oyugis Town, Homabay County, 2 days later.
She was seven months pregnant at the time of her death.
