Controversial blogger and social media personality has held out the prospect of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate Imran Okoth losing in the November by-elections.
In a tweet on Sunday, Mr Alai said that given the number of votes that Imran had taken to clinch ODM's nomination it was possible for him to lose to other candidates.
He went on to add that the Kibra race was being closely watched as it was Raila Odinga's turf.
"Considering that Imran who was managing Kibra Constituency CDF won just with 4,000 votes, it’s really possible to have ANC, Ukweli or even Jubilee candidate beat ODM in this constituency. Kibra Constituency by-election will be watched closely because it’s Raila’s constituency, " Robert Alai's tweet read.
Imran Okoth will now slug it out with governing Jubilee party's candidate McDonald Mariga and ANC's Eliud Owalo, a former Raila Odinga aide.
His victory came as a surprise as many had written him off after a video of him being heckled in Kibra emerged.
Detractors of Imran Okoth contended that his role in the cremation of his brother had irrepairably dented his political prospects.
Kibra Constituency has been for the longest time been in the grip of ODM, having been represented in the National Assembly by Mr Odinga for many years.
