The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli is mourning the death of his brother in-law, Emmanuel Weyusia.
Weyusia, who is the elder brother to KTN News anchor Mary Kilobi Atwoli, was gunned down on Tuesday night under circumstances.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear. The news anchor took to her social media page to share the sad news on Wednesday Kilobi said that the late brother was her pillar of strength.
“9th October it is! Haki I can’t believe this hot brother of mine Emmanuel Weyusia has gone to be with the Lord. Marsh we’ve lost you to some cruel people who shot you. Marsh, you will forever be my Big brother our very protective bro, My Mamas 1st Born.
"How do I say RIP? God, it may not be well with me now because of how I feel but I still hold onto you for comfort. Even though you have allowed this pain to come my way, you are still my God,” said Kilobi.
The fans quickly took to the page to send their messages of condolences. The news anchor is yet to reveal whether the burial arrangements have started.
Leaders have also started to send their messages of condolences to the family of the deceased pending burial plans.
