The former presidential candidate had filed a petition against the election of Kirinyaga Governor Ann Mumbi Kamotho in the 2017 gubernatorial race.

However, Supreme Court judge Isaac Lenaola dismissed her petition stating it lacks merit.

However, after the court ruling, Karua through her Twitter account said that she did not get justice at the Supreme Court.

"I did not get justice at the court but Aluta continua. The journey to success is long and winding," she said

Her case was dismissed by the Appellate Court citing that she failed to provide enough evidence that shows there were cases of bribery as she alleged.

She then decided to move to the Supreme Court with the hope of quashing the governor's victory.

From her sentiments, a section of Kenyans online has hit out reminding her of 2007 elections where she is alleged to have played a crucial role in "vote rigging" for the then PNU candidate, former President Mwai Kibaki.
