The institution’s principal Joseph Omwancha has admitted facing financial constraints despite having received Sh3 million from the Constituency Development Fund to build a dining hall.

Omwancha, however, is asking for an additional Sh1 million to help complete erecting the multipurpose structure, which he estimates to be done by June this year.

He has also asked the Teachers Service Commission to aid the school get additional teachers.

“We are currently facing a shortage of teachers. We have 14 teachers out of the 28 required. The school board is using a lot of money to hire teachers which with the intervention of TSC, the money would be channelled to other developmental areas,” explains Omwancha.

The school is equally facing a challenge in realizing co-curriculum development among the students due to a rugged sports field.

The head of the school says the county government promised to construct a modern sports field in the institution since 2016, something it has failed to implement.

Students are currently compelled to walk for five kilometres to Etago market for sporting activities.
