Murathe was speaking at a church service in Muranga on Sunday, where team 'kitaeleweka' - a section of Jubilee leaders opposed to DP Ruto presidency - had attended.

While citing examples of Korea and Israel where former country leaders are in jail, he noted that no one was immune to prosecution, so long as it is evident that they are culpable of the graft.

"In Korea, two former presidents are in jail.. Hata yule mwanamke au mama alikuja hapa juzi alikuwa President wa South Korea (Even the woman who visited Kenya the other day was the President of South Korea. She is serving how many? Ten years in jail," stated Murathe.

He added: "Hapa Kenya tumemepeleka Deputy Chief Justice kortini.Sasa wewe ukiwa Deputy President shida iko wapi tukikupeleka? So hata wewe tutakupeleka(Here in Kenya we have taken the Deputy Chief Justice to court. Where is the problem if we take you there as a Deputy President? We will take you as well)."

The leaders lambasted politicians who had started early campaigns before 2022 while appealing toPresident Kenyatta to continue fighting corruption indiscriminately.
