Residents have expressed their happiness saying muddy roads will be a past tense once the road is complete.

“We have suffered for several years with poor roads. President Uhuru Kenyatta will be remembered for the good work his government is doing,” said Maurice Onderi, a local.

David Onchari said former Bonchari MP John Opore did a commendable job to ensure the road project started before the last year’s polls.

“We are happy that Opore left a legacy as well Uhuru has left a mark which will never end,” said Onchari.

The local called on the Chinse contractor working on the road to move with speed and ensure the tarmacking of the road is complete by December 2018.

Bomariba assistant chief Benjamin Ayuma called on locals to give the contractor working on the road humble time to work.

Ayuma said motorists should use alternative routes as directed by the contractor to avoid interruptions.

“Any motorists found trespassing will be arrested and taken to court. The road is blocked and under construction, therefore, motorists should use alternative routes,” he noted.
