Deputy President William Ruto will on Saturday tour Gusii region.
DP Ruto is expected to preside over a funds drive for several Seventh Day Adventist churches. This is according to Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose.
Mose said Ruto's tour should not be politicised because he will be in the region to help raise funds for the construction of churches.
"We have been organizing for DP Ruto's trip to help raise funds for several SDA churches for several months now. Critics should keep off DP Ruto's tour because it will not be political," said the Jubilee allied MP.
Mose appealed to residents to turn up in large numbers to host Ruto.
Ruto returns to the region just days after he was recently hosted by South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro.
The Deputy President is determined to ensure he garners votes from Nyamira and Kisii Counties in 2022 when he runs for the presidency.
Kisii and Nyamira counties are, however, perceived to be an opposition stronghold given that Gusii community has been voting overwhelmingly for the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
