A close and keen observation will confirm that Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o is one of the most silent leaders in the entire Luo Nyanza region.
The same has been the case on matters politics, where the county chief has remained largely indifferent even as other leaders from the region engage in political warfare.
And though in office on opposition leader Raila Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), he is hardly part of teams battling Raila's opponents or bashing his critics.
And since this usually gets to a point where insults are hurled, the heavily learned Professor cannot be expected to fit in this category.
Therefore, to stick to his level and retain the good image he has made across the nation over the years, he would rather remain silent, or offer his help in a more decent way.
Further, the Governor who was recently ranked the best among his counterparts manning our three cities seems to have decided to keep off politics and concentrate on development issues.
With all his hands full with the same, he obviously has no time to engage in political warfare.
This, especially, is if it involves another person who has no elective mandate and is, therefore, not answerable to his people.
Should he lose track of his activities and fail to deliver in line with his campaign promises, then he is the one who will be held accountable and not Odinga.
Finally, Nyong'o who has made his way down from the parliamentary level, from the Seme legislative seat and then Senator seems to be a naturaly docile person.
He was less vocal even during his tenure as the ODM national Secretary General.
