Senator for Elgeyo Marakwet County Kipchumba Murkomen has said that the Tanga tanga leaders have decided to attend Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) rally in order to redirect the river back to its course.
While addressing the media in Mombasa at Mama Ngina Waterfall on Saturday, said that they will now be participating in BBI rallies so that those that used to brand them as people that are outside and don't support BBI could stop.
“…we want to redirect the river back to its course so that our focus is no longer about who is outside and who is not but about the issues that are affecting the citizens of this republic…” Senator Kipchumba Murkomen said.
On reports that there are plans for him to not address the BBI rally, senate majority leader said that it is not a must for him to spoke as those that will be given the chance will also deliver what needs to be said.
This happen after Murkomen revealed that they are going to attend the rally a few days ago, despite the threats that were posed to him.
"I have been threatened that if I attend the Mombasa BBI meeting I shall be humiliated by being denied a seat, not being allowed to talk or even if I am allowed to talk I shall be heckled. If that’s what it takes to unite this country so be it&I am ready to absorb.Tukutane Mombasa." He wrote.
