Nairobi human rights activist Boniface Mwangi came out on Tuesday to mourn his fellow Dandora human rights activist Caroline Mwatha.

Taking to his Twitter account, the former Starehe Member of Parliament aspirant left his heartfelt condolence message. 

“So sad. May comrade Caroline Mwatha Rest in Power,” said Boniface Mwangi.

Caroline Mwatha disappeared on Wednesday 6 this month. 

Her missing case was reported at Buru Buru Police Station on Friday 8 having been unreachable through her phone which went off after someone picking it without talking. 

On Tuesday, Mwatha’s body was found at the City Mortuary. 

The police report indicates that she Mwatha died from a botched abortion. 

It is indicated that she died after trying to abort her 5-month pregnancy at a city clinic. 

After her death, the owner of the clinic took her to the city mortuary and booked her under a different name. 

The clinic owner, who confessed to this incident, has since been arrested according to the reports from the police spokesman Charles Owino. 

"We have two suspects in custody and they are the ones who led detectives to the mortuary," said Charles Owino as quoted by Nation.
