Former Kitui Senator David Musila has broken the silence after landing a top job in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.
Musila is among former politicians who were awarded state jobs in the recent appointments made by the President.
In the state gazetted jobs last week, Kenyatta appointed Musila as the chairman of the National Museums of Kenya.
Musila will serve in the position for a period of three years.
Speaking to journalists in Kitui on Monday, Musila thanked the president promising to champion interests of Kenyans in the industry.
“I appreciate and take up the appointment and will work with other leaders to make Kenya proud,” Musila said.
Musila fell out with Kalonzo in the run-up to the 2017 general election.
The former senator wanted Kalonzo to hand him a direct ticket for the Kitui gubernatorial seat.
He ditched Wiper and unsuccessfully contested for the Kitui gubernatorial seat as an independent candidate.
Former Mbooni MP Kisoi Munyao also benefited in the State appointments.
Munyao has been appointed as Board member of the Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA) for a non-renewable period of three years.
