Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has won the hearts of Kenyans on Twitter after he came to the rescue of a young bright boy.
The boy performed well in the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Education (KCPE) exams but could not raise his school fees despite securing a place at the prestigious Mangu High School.
The Kiambu politician learnt of the boy's needy situation through Kameme FM and offered to pay his tuition fees throughout his secondary education.
He further hinted at sponsoring the student's university education.
Kabogo shared a photo of the student when he accompanied him to the school, with the caption "At Mangu high to register the young man who approached me through Kameme Radio. God willing I'll see him through to Uni."
The post warmed the hearts of Kenyans who lauded Kabogo for the good job he is doing.
Here are some of the reactions by Kenyans.
Last year, Kabogo launched an online fund campaign after a Twitter user (Brian Yusuf) revealed that his mother was seeking to sell her Sh5.8 million mansion to settle her late husband’s hospital bill.
He shared the post urging his then150,000 followers to contribute at least Sh30 to settle the hospital bill.
Kabogos’s post caught the attention of Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris who also pledged to offer her assistance to the family.
