Political analyst Herman Manyora now claims that some of the people against Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid are doing it out of sincere love and concern.

Speaking on Saturday, the commentator gave an example of ex-Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe, who earlier in the year vowed to use all means to block the bid, including moving to court.

Manyora claimed that Murathe is well aware that the DP stands no chance, and is solely trying to stand on his way to prevent him from going into self-destruction.

However, he noted that the DP seems to have chosen to listen to his allies cheering him into making the wrong moves, which might with time cost him dearly.

"Ruto is being cheered on by Sudi (Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi) and Murkomen (Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen) and a few others. Aisha Jumwa (Malindi MP) and her lyrics are telling him you can do it," Manyora said in his weekly YouTube analysis channel Take It or Leave It, Saturday.

"But there is David Murathe warning his brother don't cross you will tip into the water, because of the love Murathe has for Ruto, he is threatening to seek court intervention," he added.

The analysts stated that the same applies to Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) boss Francis Atwoli, who has since warned that the DP might not even make it to the ballot at all.

Manyora defended the trade unionist from the attacks he has been experiencing from Ruto's allies, claiming that Atwoli harbours no malicious intentions.

"What Atwoli means is that Ruto will finally use common sense and see the dangers of crossing this bridge," noted the university don.
