Ruto has in the past stated that he will only support the report if it paves way for national dialogue.

The BBI task force is expected to present the report to President Uhuru Kenyatta anytime from now.

On Sunday, Ruto pitched tent in Mathira Constituency, Nyeri County but he did not talk about the BBI report when he attended a service at Karatina PCEA church. He later attended a fundraiser at Ichuga PCEA church where he was hosted by area MP Rigathi Gachagua.

During the tour, Ruto confirmed that the government had allocated Sh2.1 billion for the unveiling of water projects in different areas.

He assured the residents that the Jubilee government is committed to improving their lives through several projects.

He also asked them to support the Jubilee government in its quest to improve the lives of the residents before Uhuru completes his second and final term in office.

While at the home of Gachagua, Tetu MP Gichuhi Mwangi decided to start the debate on BBI.  He asked leaders not to talk about the same until a report is released.

“You cannot stop the tide regardless of the tactics being used to increase or reduce the seats. We are all ready to support Ruto in 2022,” he said.

Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa, who was also present at the function, asked Kenyans not to be swayed because of a few leaders who want to use the report for their political gain before 2022.
