Preparations for this year's Mashujaa Day celebrations in Uasin Gishu on Sunday are complete.
According to Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Abdirisack Jaldesa, the historical day to celebrate and remember Kenya’s heroes and heroines will take place at 64 Stadium in Eldoret town.
"I want to confirm that plans for Sunday's Mashujaa day celebrations are complete. All the necessary logistics, including security, entertainments, seating and parking arrangements are in place," said the Uasin Gishu County commissioner.
The event will start at 10:00 am. Jaldesa spoke to the press in Eldoret town on Saturday.
He reiterated that the function will be attended by both political and religious leaders from the County and beyond.
"The chief guest will be Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago who will be accompanied by other County officials and political leaders," added Jaldesa.
He urged Uasin Gishu residents to turn up in large numbers to hear from both the national and county government leaders.
Mashujaa day National celebrations will be held in Mombasa.
