The body of a middle-aged man was retrieved from Masinga Dam on Tuesday evening in Kiluluini area, Masinga, Machakos County.
Francis Siror, the Masinga Sub-County Police Commander confirmed the incident.
He told the press that the body was spotted floating on the dam by members of the public who raised alarm.
He said that he is positive the man was killed by unknown people elsewhere and his body dumped in the dam.
He added that the body had injuries on the head indicating he could have been hit with a blunt object.
"The man had injuries on the head and his body was tied and thrown into the waters," said Siror.
He confirmed that the police will conduct thorough investigations into the incident and know what really transpired while awaiting an autopsy report.
The body was taken to General Kago Mortuary in Thika.
The incident comes just a day after two bodies were retrieved in Athi River.
According to area chief Nzau Komu, the bodies were not immediately identified.
