Writing on Twitter on Friday, the first term county boss said that the conference was all about what discussing what is good for the country.

"Our convergence today in Kisii is non - partisan, we are here to discuss issues of national interest as national leaders in our quest to build a cohesive and United Kenya!" the governor's tweet read.

Scores of leaders, mainly those in support of the handshake between Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, thronged Kisii County on Friday for the BBI conference.

Political pundits see the conference as a strategy meeting for Raila in a  bid to  determine the position that leaders allied to him will take on the BBI.

The report was launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta over a month ago at the historic Bomas of Kenya.

Critics of the document see it as a cynical attempt by the head of state and ODM party leader to serve their selfish interests of guaranteeing their stay in power.

The document is still being read by Kenyans before it goes to the next stage.
