Kuria says that Kalonzo's move is good news and gives him a chance to be part of the ruling government.

Speaking to journalists at the Parliament buildings in Nairobi on Monday, the Jubilee MP said that Kalonzo has done well by following in the footsteps of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

"We welcome Kalonzo's decision to work with the ruling government and assure him that he will not regret it," the Jubilee legislator said.

Kuria said that it is time politicians across the political divide put aside their differences and work for unity and that the country needs unity to achieve her development agenda.

He further said that the March 9 handshake between President Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga has restored the country's unity and economy.

"The handshake has changed a lot of things and Kalonzo's move to support the handshake is welcomed," he added.

Kuria asked Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford -Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula to also support the handshake and work with Jubilee government for the benefit of Kenyans.

"Wetangula and Mudavadi should now follow suit and also declare support for the handshake," he said.

On Saturday, Kalonzo declared support for the Jubilee government development agenda.

The Wiper Party leader said that his party will support President Kenyatta's Big four development agenda and unity push.
